Weaving
Our next unit in art is going to be about weaving.

Please read the article

Weaving is a very ancient artform that is found in many cultures around the world. Some weaving is functional: People have used it to create clothing, baskets and even houses for centuries. Other weaving is decorational. (It's just there to look pretty.)

In some cultures, women have been the master weavers. (A great honor!) In others, men have been the master weavers of their villages or tribes.

Above is an example of a weaving. The wooden frame that it's on is called a loom. The threads that hold the weaving together are called "warp threads". These are very important. Without them, the weaving would fall apart.

and answer the questions below:

1. What has weaving been used for in the past?

2. Who could be the master weavers in different cultures?

3. What is the wooden frame that holds the weaving called?

4. What are the threads that hold the weaving together called?

a. Please look at question 2 again. There is more to that answer than you put.

b. Please put 3 into a complete sentence.

c. Pleae punctuate and otherwise finish #4.

You may fix these in your reply.
